Pearl Jam's Next Album Coming Out This Year
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 02.22.2013

Pearl Jam's guitarist says that the band's next album is coming out "this year, for sure." Mike McCready spoke with Rolling Stone and said that the album, which is the first since Backspacer in 2009, will be produced by Brendan O'Brian.

McCready said that seven songs for the album are more or less done with an additional fifteen ready to go. He added, "I would say as a cliché answer it's kind of a logical extension of what 'Backspacer' was. But I think there's a little bit more experimental stuff going on. There's a Pink Floyd vibe to some of it, there's a punk rock edge to other stuff...We're excited to get it done, because we've kind of been waiting for about two years to do it."
