Aerosmith, Foreigner and More To Be Inducted in Songwriting Hall of Fame
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 02.23.2013

Members of Aerosmith, Foreigner and more have been announced as the 2013 inductees into the Songwriting Hall of Fame. Billboard reports that Tony Hatch, Mick Jones & Lou Gramm, Holly Knight, JD Souther and Steven Tyler & Joe Perry will all be inducted this year in a ceremony to be held on June 13th in Manhattan, New York.

"Each of our 2013 inductees has been responsible for captivating the world with their creativity for decades, serving up a rich variety of songs for our global soundtrack," Hall of Fame chairman Jimmy Webb said. "We are looking forward to celebrating their contributions at our Annual Awards Gala."

Tyler and Perry are co-founders of Aerosmith, while Jones and Gramm are the co-founders of Foreigner. Terry Hatch has had a fifty-three year career with hits including "Sugar and Spice" while Knight has worked with the likes of Chaka Khan, Pat Benatar, Aerosmith, KISS, as well as chart-topping work with Tina Turner. She wrote "Space," below, for Cheap Trick. JD Souther worked extensively with Linda Ronstadt and co-wrote several songs for the Eagles.
