The Rolling Stones, The Killers, and Florence Welch Topline 2013 NME Awards

Billboard reports that the Rolling Stones, The Killers, and Johnny Marr were among the winners at the 2013 NME Awards.

Florence Welch, Biffy Clyro, and Palma Violets also took home awards from the ceremony which took place in the UK. Johnny Marr was awarded the 2013 Godlike Genius Award.

The Rolling Stones received a pair of awards for Best Live Band and Best Music Film. Florence Welch received two awards for Best Solo Artist and Best Dancefloor Anthem for her collaboration with Calvin Harris in "Sweet Nothing." The Killers took the Best International Band award. Biffy Clyro won the award for Best British Band. Palma Violets won the Best New Band award and One Direction received the award for Worst Band. The group's Harry Styles was awarded with Villain of the Year.

Regarding his award, Marr stated: "I think it's serious and funny and sweet and very rocking to get the Godlike Genius Award. I'm looking forward to being lazy for the rest of my life."

The award winners were based on over 10 million votes from NME readers.
