"Up in the Air" goes...well, up in the air...
The new 30 Seconds to Mars single has been sent into space. NASA has announced that the first copy of the band's "Up in the Air" was launched from from Cape Canaveral to the International Space Station today. The song is set to be released on March 19th; the band was in attendance to watch the Falcon 9 rocket send it up along with over 1,200 pounds of scientific experiments and other cargo.
This is not the first time NASA has teamed up with a popular music group; they broadcast a will.i.am single from Mars last year.
