Ja Rule Now Serving Jail Sentence for Tax Evasion

He'll be released in July...
The Huffington Post reports that rapper Ja Rule is now in a New York City jail and he will be released in July according to Federal authorities.
Ja Rule left a state prison in central New York last week after he served most of his two-year sentence for an illegal gun possession. He then went straight into federal custody in a tax evasion case. The Federal Bureau of Prisons says Ja Rule has now been moved from an upstate jail to Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Centers, which houses prisoners awaiting court dates or have short terms left on their sentences. His expected release date is July 28.
Previously the rapper admitted that he failed to pay taxes on more than $3 million he earned between 2004 and 2006 when he lived in New Jersey.
