Bruno Mars will take #1...
Billboard reports that Bruno Mars' Unorthodox Jukebox is expected to get #1 on the Billboard 200 next week thanks to a sale from Amazon MP3. The album was offered for a one-day-only price of $1.99 on February 26. This will give Mars between 75,000 and 80,000 copies by the end of the week. Another album sold for $1.99 was Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' The Heist, which will land in the top five with 35,000 to 40,000.
Hillsong United, the youth ministry of the Australian Hillsong Church, could get its first top ten album with Zion expected to sell around 35,000. Atoms for Peace's Amok will likely sell around 30,000 copies. The group includes Radiohead's Thom Yorke, producer Nigel Godrich, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea, drummer Joey Waronker and percussionist Mauro Refosco.
The Les Miserables soundtrack will likely return to the top ten after it won three Academy Awards on Sunday and the cast had a live performance of the music from the film. It went to #1 in January and was #35 this past week.
