The-Dream Says Jay-Z Is More Gritty After Birth Of His Daughter

Fatherhood hasn't changed him...
In an interview with Rapfix (via NME), The-Dream said that Jay-Z has become more "gritty" since the birth of his daughter Blue Ivy. Jay-Z and Beyonce welcomed the child in January of last year.
Dream said: "I think he's gotten a little bit more gritty."
He also said that he has been in the studio working on a "little something" with Jay-Z but couldn't give any details. He said that the rapper was still improving.
He added: "I think he's becoming more of a painting. It's just moving. It's just travelling through time now. There's no way to be surprised again. If any one of us does anything great, it's hard to surprise you. You already have an expectation level that's so high. So he's definitely more skilled and better than he was, but are you really surprised?"
Last January, it was reported that Jay-Z had promised to stop using the word "bitch" from his lyrics after the birth of his daughter, but it was then reported to be false by his publicist.
Jay-Z said last May that he was taking time off to be with his family. Those wanting to hear more from Jay-Z can go see Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby, which he will provide the score for.
