Billboard reports that the Sound City Players and John Fogerty performed last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, a week before they perform at the South by Southwest festival.
The song featured Dave Grohl and Fogerty trade verses on Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son".
The group formed from Grohl's Sound City documentary, which focuses on the recording studio, as well as the accompanying soundtrack Sound City: Real to Reel, which will be released on March 12. Grohl has performed with Paul McCartney, Jimmy Page, Stevie Nicks and Rick Springfield over the past few years.
Grohl will host the event at SXSW on March 14, presented by Citi Private Press and Billboard. It will take place at Stubb's in Austin, Texas. Nicks, Fogerty, Springsteen, Rage Against The Machine's Brad Wilk, Rick Nielsen and Slipknot's Corey Taylor are among the confirmed performers.
