Big news for Glastonbury...
MTV News spoke with Kasabian's Serge Pizzorno who confirmed that The Rolling Stones will play this summer at the Glastonbury Festival.
The band's chief songwriter was speaking about Kasabian's headline slot at Hard Rock Calling which is set for the same weekend in June as Glastonbury. Pizzorno stated: "I hope ours is the most talked about performance of the weekend, but that would be a miracle because The Rolling Stones are playing Glastonbury."
He also said of the Hard Rock set will be in Stratford instead of Hyde Park, "It's nice because we'll be christening the Olympic Park and we're playing with Paul Weller and Miles Kane, so it's gonna be a great Saturday night. This band does not work at low levels – it needs to be deafening."
Kasabian will headline Hard Rock Calling with Bruce Springsteen. The festival is set to run in Stratford, London at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on June 29 and June 30.
