NME reports that Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill said he was "too drunk" to finish sequencing the band's new album last night.
The band are working on their sixth album, the follow-up to 2010's Come Around Sundown.
Followill wrote on Twitter: "Wine isn't for everyone, but it is definitely for me. Just tried for a sequence to the new album. Very exciting stuff. I can't quite nail it down due to the being too drunk. ?#Tomorrow" My "drafts" on twitter should be titled "drunk thoughts you might tweet tomorrow if they're not too offensive"."
Meanwhile, the band are set to headline this summer's V festival on August 17-18 in Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire. They will take the main stage along with Beyonce in her only European festival appearance this year. The band are also playing several other European festivals, including Poland's Open'er Festival, Optimus Alive in Portugal and Rock Werchter in Belgium. They will play shows in London, Manchester and Birmingham in June and July, staring at London's O2 Arena on June 12 and 13 before the Manchester Arena on June 24 and 25. It will then run to the Birmingham LG Arena on July 9-10.
