Due to apparent "unforeseen circumstances"...
Portuguese music promoter Everything is New has confirmed that one of Justin Bieber's concerts for Portugal has been canceled due to "unforeseen circumstances."
Justin Bieber's concert set for March 12 in Lisbon, Portugal at the Pavilhao Atlantico was to be the second of two Lisbon dates for Bieber. Bieber will still perform one of his scheduled dates in Lisbon at the same venue though on March 11.
A Facebook post by the English-language Portugal News suggested the cancellation was a result of "insufficient demand" for the second night. The claim cannot be confirmed however.
Everything is New did say that ticket holders for the cancelled March 12 concert can get a refund from their point of purchase through April 11.
The cancellation comes after a rough previous week for Bieber in London, England. Bieber had to prematurely end his birthday party at the Cirque du Soir which he tweeted was his "worst birthday." He was booed on Monday by fans for arriving late at first O2 Arena concert and said on Twitter the delay was due to "technical issues."
Things took a turn for the worse for Bieber on Thursday when he collapsed backstage due to reported breathing problems at another O2 Arena show. Bieber finished the show and was then briefly hospitalized to evaluate his condition.
Bieber went on to finish his last concert in London at the O2 Arena on Friday and tweeted that he was "still a little short of breath."
He will next appear on March 11 for his concert in Lisbon featuring opening acts by Cody Simpson and Carly Rae Jepsen. His Believe tour will next go to Madrix, Spain on March 14.
