The Cribs' Ryan Jarman Doesn't See The Point In Bashing One Direction

They seem nice...
The Cribs' singer Ryan Jarman has defended One Direction in an interview with GigWise. Several musicians like Kasabian and Jake Bugg have insulted the group lately.
Jarman says that while The Cribs have nothing in common with One Direction, he doesn't see the point in bashing them. One Direction won Worst Band at the NME Awards while The Cribs won Outstanding Contribution to Music.
He said: "It's a strange fight to pick, for sure, you know, because it seems like a bit of a cheap shot, it seems like an easy target, so it's not something that I would do. I wouldn't particularly find them out because I wouldn't feel that I had any big rivalry with or anything in common with to begin with, you know - it seems very much like an easy target so I wouldn't do it. But the thing is, One Direction are fans of The Cribs, so they're good with me. I think that's cool. The fact that they're fans, I don't mind. I don't know anything about their band but it's cool by me."
Hurts' Adam Anderson has also praised the band. He added: "I think they seem like decent lads and they're having fun. If you were 19 and in their position then you would have fun. I think they should be left alone really. It's good for the equilibrium of pop to have boybands."
