Along with the Stooges...
NME reports that Iggy Pop and the Stooges revealed new material from their album Ready To Die at the Mohawk Outdoor at SXSW in Austin, Texas.
Along with songs like "Raw Power", "Fun House" and "I Wanna Be Your Dog", the show had new material played, which Iggy called "world premieres".
Before playing "Burn" and "DD", he said: "We made a fucking new album, we made some fucking new songs! This song is about scary shit like flaming assholes of the world and death. And now, before we play 'I Wanna Be Your Dog", a song about big double D tits."
Later on, he dedicated "The Departed" to late guitarist and songwriter Ron Asheton, who died in 2009. He added: "He bought a lot of joy to people without being a pretentious turd about it."
Iggy and The Stooges played:
'Gimme Danger Little Stranger'
'Beat That Guy'
'Sex and Money'
'I Wanna Be Your Dog'
'Search and Destroy'
'Ready To Die'
