Billie Joe Armstrong Working on New Material for Rock Adaptation of Shakespeare

The New York Times reports that Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong is composing a new rock adaptation of William Shakespeare.
Armstrong is contributing new material for the Yale Repertory Theater's production of These Paper Bullets, a modern day update of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. The play centers on a band from Liverpool who cope with the pressure of the London music business and a fledgling romance. The project is a return to theater for Armstrong who was previously a creative force for Green Day's broadway show American Idiot in 2010.
