They also talk about the music video for Now...
While at SXSW in Austin, Texas at the Warner Sound concert, Paramore spoke to Billboard about their upcoming self-titled album, the lead single "Now" and the video that they released for it.
Hayley Williams said that their next album will draw influence from the past three years, which included the departure of Zac and Josh Farro.
She said: "Obviously our band has been through a lot and it was kind of the perfect time to write this record. As people who are growing up, and I feel like we grew up quite a bit since from the time we put out brand new eyes to this record, this is really the story of the last three years of our lives. I'm just so proud of it."
The album will be out in April. She said it will have seventeen songs and two "b-sides" that will appear on the "box set".
Then the conversation turned to the "Now" video and how the director, Daniel Could Campos, was inspired by Banksy.
She said: "The song feels like it has a bit of violence to it, but its not about that at all. It's about embracing something more than that and looking forward to something you that maybe can't see yet, believing before you see. When people watch the video, I think it comes across, hopefully, clearly that love always wins in the end. And it's better to stop the cycle of bitterness and anger and try something different."
The band have been playing new material while performing in Australia while on the Soundwave festival tour.
