- Usher performed at SXSW last night, performing along with the Afghan Wings. The Whigs closed their solo 30-minute set with a rendition of Usher's "Climax." As they got to the second verse, Usher walked out with mic in hand joined them to surprise the crowd. According to live reports, the Afghan Whigs gave new life to Usher's stage show, giving his songs a harder edge. He also gave a shout out to Lil Wayne, stating the following to the live crowd…
"Lil Wayne is going through a real hard time right now, ya'll. I want to send a lot of positive energy out there right now."
