Journey's Guitarist Suing Former Mother-in-Law For Defamation

He says he's getting badmouthed online...
The guitarist for Journey has sued his former mother-in-law for defamation. TMZ reports that Neal Schon has filed suit against Judy Kozan, who is the mother of Neal's ex-wife Amber Schon. Schon claims in the lawsuit that Kozan has "attacked and harassed" him via postings on the internet and false comments to the media.
The lawsuit specifically notes that Kozan published a blog in January accusing him not not paying Amber enough money to support himself, which Kozan says forced Amber and their two children into "a situation where she literally has no money for food, gas for the car, bills, nothing."
Schon argues that he's paid over $1.3 million to Amber and that his reputation has been damaged, which has resulted in several media outlets calling him a deadbeat dad. He's seeking at least $75,000. Kozan has deleted the blog post in question and posted one in which she disputes allegations of Schon being a deadbeat dad.
