Mumford & Sons, Phoenix To Headline Lollapalooza

The Chicago Tribune reports that Mumford & Sons, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend and the Killers will all headline Lollapalooza in Grant Park on August 2-4.
Other acts confirmed include the National and the Postal Service (a reunion of Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello on the 10-year anniversary of their debut Give Up, which sold a million copes). Lollapalooza promoters C3 Presents said the lineup will be officially announced next month. "Early bird" tickets go on sale next Tuesday.
The festival launched in 2005 in Chicago and has become more and more successful over the years, selling as many as 270,000 tickets over three days. It's expected to have a similar format as last year with over 100 artists on eight stages over three days.
