Legal Battle Ongoing Over Aaliyah's Music
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.21.2013

TMZ reports that even though Aaliyah has been dead 12 years, a music publisher is currently fighting over the rights to her songs.

Reservoir Media filed a lawsuit against a company called Craze Productions, claiming the company has been selling songs illegally from her albums Aaliyah and One in a Million on iTunes. Reservoir claims it is the sole owner of the songs after getting the rights in 2012, and never gave Crazy permission to sell them.

Reservoir wants a judge to block Craze from selling any more music, in addition to money.
