Paul McCartney Says He Didn't Like Oasis Comparing Themselves To The Beatles
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.26.2013

Q Magazine spoke with Paul McCartney about Oasis, who once said that they would be the next Beatles. The interview was for the 50th anniversary of the band's debut album Please Please Me.

He said: "I'm actually kind of honoured - they could be copying anyone - even when things happen like Oasis saying, We are then next Beatles. But I also think, Listen lads you can't say that. And don't say that, because it's probably the kiss of death! In Oasis's cases, I think it was coming from them. In others it's the record label or management and that's never a good idea: The poor band! Now go and do better than The Beatles did. Not an easy task."
