Kid Rock Slams Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake Over High Concert Ticket Prices
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 04.16.2013

Kid Rock fired off at Jay Z and Timberlake over high ticket prices for their upcoming tours. Rock, who previously announced that his summer tour would be budget-priced at $20 to allow fans to come see him without breaking the bank, was asked (via Contact Music) by Piers Morgan in Morgan's show about the rumors that Jay and Timberlake would be charging as much as $225 a ticket.

"It's garbage," said the "American Badass" singer. "It's highway robbery. I don't care who you are... I would consider both of them in a circle of friends in the business but I don't agree with it...It's gotten out of hand. The price of concerts, the price of entertainment period. You know, whether it's a sporting event, going to the movies, buying a soda there, whatever... I've always tried to keep prices what I think are fair. And I've always said I'm proud that I could walk around with my head held high and look someone in the eye, knowing that I haven't taken an un-honest dollar from a working man... I make a lot of money. I can take a pay cut."

Rock has also made deals with the heads of each venue for the Best Night Ever tour where costs will be reduced on everything from parking to merchandise; he will he will lose an estimated $50,000 - $100,000 at each show.
