Paul McCartney Appears Onstage At BAFTA Screening Of New Wings DVD
Posted by Joseph Lee on 05.16.2013

NME reports that Paul McCartney appeared on stage at BAFTA in London last night to introduce the new Wings DVD that features a live performance from 1976 called Rockshow. It was the final show of the "Wings Over The World" tour.

He said: "'This is a film of the '76 concert that we did with Wings in America, and I think the best thing about it for me was that we'd been struggling for years with Wings getting slagged off by all the reviewers because we decided to do it from the ground up again instead of coming in at some higher level as superstars. 'So we had to learn our craft all over again and we thought that by the time we reached 1976 and America on this tour that we were pretty good."

The film is two hours and has 30 songs taken from Wings, The Beatles and McCartney's solo material, along with a cover of Bessie Banks' "Go Now". It was performed at the Kingdome in Seattle. The film will also be released in 500 theaters worldwide before a DVD and Blu-ray release in June. This is the first time the concert has been released in full.

Here's the track list:

'Venus And Mars'
'Rock Show'
