Listen to it before a flight...
NME reports that a new study from Spotify shows that Adele's "Someone Like You" is the best song for dealing with anxiety, especially for those who have a fear of flying. According to anxiety psychologist Dr. Becky Spelman, this is because of its tempo of 67 beats per minute and harmonies.
She said that breathing in time to music with a low bmp at a controlled and reduced pace drops heart rate and blood pressure, which lowers anxiety. Another way to do it is to listen to a song that stimulates both sides of the brain and creates Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). This will also relax the body. Music that is "harmonious" and "emotive" can do this.
