Robin Thicke Reigns on Billboard Hot 100 For Tenth Week
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 08.14.2013

Robin Thicke remains unbeatable on the Billboard Hot 100. Billboard reports that "Blurred Lines" featuring T.I. and Pharrell has logged a tenth week at #1 on the chart, making it only the eighth song in the history of the chart by a male solo artist to reign that long. The last song to do so was Flo Rida's "Low" which topped the charts for ten weeks starting in January of 2008. The song is now the biggest hit since the Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling" which reigned for fourteen straight weeks from July through October in 2009.

The song has also extended the record it set last week in terms of audio impressions on radio with 227.5 million, topping last week's record-breaking 219.8 million. It will face stiff competition next week though as Katy Perry's "Roar" and Lady Gaga's "Applause" both will have their first full weeks and should register high on the chart.

Coming in at #2 for the third week was Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" while Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive" held even at #3. Daft Punk was even at #4 with "Get Lucky" featuring Pharrell and Jay Z's "Holy Grail" featuring Justin Timberlake was steady at #5.

The entire top 10 chart was identical from last week with Anna Kendrick's "Cups (Pitch Perfect's When I'm Gone)" at #6, Bruno Mars' "Treasure" at #7, Zedd's "Clarity" (featuring Foxes) at #8, Capital Cities' "Safe and Sound" at #9 and Maroon 5's "Love Somebody" at #10.
