Production Begins On Glee's Cory Monteith Tribute Episode

E! News reports that production has started on Glee's tribute to Cory Monteith, which is described as "gut-wrenching" and "so, so good." The episode is shooting in Los Angeles.
One source said: "You will cry from beginning to end."
Another added: "I cried as I read it, on every page."
The episode takes place in Lima, Ohio and focuses on the death of Monteith's character Finn Hudson. It's not revealed how he died, but the episode starts with news of his death and moves on to focus on everyone's reactions, as well as celebrating his life. Lea Michele (Rachel) does not appear in the episode until the final act, where she will sing. It's also revealed that Santana (Naya Rivera) has a great, memorable role.
Jane Lynch tweeted on Wednesday: "Just read Cory Monteith memorial episode. Most beautiful thing. Thank you, @MrRPMurphy @BFalchuk Ian Brennan."
Glee creator Ryan Murphy previously said that he thought it would be best not to include Finn's cause of death.
He said: "At one point, we were going to have his character die after an accidental drug overdose—that was something we had considered. But we have decided that we're not going to have him pass from that. Basically, what we're doing in the episode is we are not telling you yet, or maybe not at all, how that character died," Murphy explained. "The idea being, how somebody died is interesting and maybe morbid, but we say very early on in the episode, 'This episode is about a celebration of that character's life.' That might be weird for some people, but it felt really exploitative to do it any other way."
He said he planned to shoot the tribute episode (which is the third) and then planned to take a break to regroup and figure out how to move forward with the show. The original plan for season five was to have Monteith heavily featured, and now the story has to be changed.
