Robin Thicke's not happy either...
UPDATE: Brooke Shields isn't the only person displeased over Miley Cyrus' VMA performance. Us Weekly reports that Cyrus' co-performer Robin Thicke, who sang "Blurred Lines" with her as part of the performance, isn't particularly ecstatic with the way things went down either.
"Robin thought it would be fun to include Miley, but he didn't realize how much she would overshadow him. This was his big night and big performance," said a source. "I don't think he would have done it knowing what it ended up like."
However, another source close to Thicke disagrees, noting, "He had fun and was fine with how it came out. He knew what they were going to do and thought it was fun and awesome. He had a great time."
More to the point, Thicke is bummed that he got shut out of the awards wins. "He's also super bummed that he didn't win, especially Video of the Year," said the first source.
ORIGINAL: Miley Cyrus' TV mom isn't a big fan of her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. Brooke Shields, who played Cyrus' mother on Hannah Montana, was a guest host on the Today show this morning and commented on the performance.
"I was Hannah Montana's mother. I don't approve," she said, adding, "She can sing beautifully, and I feel like if she lets that lead, rather than let her bottom lead...I feel like it's a bit desperate."
