Miley Cyrus Gets Social Media and Sales Boost From VMA Performance

Way to reward bad behavior...
While a lot of people slammed Miley Cyrus for her much-discussed MTV Video Music Awards performance, she's laughing all the way to the bank. Billboard reports that Cyrus earned 50,000 new fans on Sunday, a boost from the 30,000 new fans she'd received on Saturday. She also saw what is likely to be a gain of 10% to 20% in sales for her single "We Can't Stop," which she performed along with Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines."
In addition, Cyrus' new song "Wrecking Ball" is likely to hit the top 20 on the Digital Sales chart, meaning she'll have two songs in the list. That chart releases on Wednesday.
