The band is poised to have their best sales week to date…
Billboard reports that Avenged Sevenfold are on track to get their second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart.
Their new set, Hail to the King, is projected to go into the top slot next week with around 175,000 copies through the week ending on September 1. This would mark a new career-high sales track for the band. Their biggest sales week previously was their last album, Nightmare, in 2010. That one opened at No. 1 with 163,000 copies sold. The new top 10 for the Billboard 200 chart will be released on the morning of Wednesday, September 4.
If the album sells more than 170,000 copies, it would be the largest sales debut for a rock album since September with Babel by Mumford & Sons which launched with 600,000 copies sold.
Other albums set for high debuts include Hall of Fame by Big Sean and Stay Trippy by Juicy J. The former is expected to sell around 75,000 copies. The latter is projected to sell 65,000 copies. Both sets should place in the top five of next week's chart.
