Fans got lucky...
Billboard reports that a secret screening was held for international buyers and fans at the Cineplex in Toronto for IM Global's Justin Bieber documentary Believe. The screening was held at a location that was kept secret to prevent a huge amount of Bieber's fans.
The documentary from Jon M. Chu features concert footage and interviews about Bieber's rise to fame. Those in the industry were mixed in with fans at the screening, getting an idea of how it would play in theaters. The screening was held at 5 PM on Saturday. Security checked purses and backpacks. Cell phones and other electronic devices were checked at the door.
IM Global's wide-release label Opus will handle worldwide sales and Open Road will release it domestically. Chu's first Bieber documentary (Never Say Never) earned almost $100 million 2011.
