Katy Perry To Perform At ‘We Can Survive’ Hollywood Bowl Charity Show
Posted by Joseph Lee on 09.23.2013

Radio.com reveals that Katy Perry, along with her favorite artists Sara Bareilles, Ellie Goulding, Tegan & Sara and Kacey Musgraves, will perform at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles California on Wednesday, October 23. The special charity concert will help the Young Survival Coalition. The show is called "We Can Survive".

Perry announced it on 97.1 AMP this morning. She told Carson Daly: "These are all very powerful women that I really respect and look up to, and I wanted them to come together to promote this supportive message and have a fantastic night full of great music. There's so many great acts in this lineup. And I get to play a lot of songs off the record that will have come out the night before."

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 AM PT through Ticketmaster. Pre-sale for Citi Thank You card members begins tomorrow at 10 AM PT, including VIP packages and access to Perry's pre-concert sound check.

Proceeds will go to the Young Survival Coalition. The group is dedicated to "critical issues unique to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer." October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The concert comes one day after the release of Perry's album Prism, which features the #1 hit song "Roar".
