They haven't paid up...
The Insane Clown Posse's Gathering of the Juggalos festival reportedly owes $300,000 to vendors from the event. The Southern reports that several contractors have received checks that bounced from the even, which took place in Illinois last month.
One example was Event-Tex, who supplied power for the festival; their check for $54,000 has not yet cleared. Company owner Patrick Gail said, "In conversation with many of the other vendors who were contracted for the event, it has been learned that none of them have been paid."
Added Allen Heaton of Shortline Amusements, who are owed $40,000 "I'm on the verge of losing a lot of stuff."
Psychopathic Records since issued a statement noting, "Putting on a five day music festival this ambitious is a very time consuming and expensive process. Unfortunately, in our attempt to provide the best possible event for our fans, expenses exceeded estimates and expectations, which we had not previously planned for. The company putting on the event, Juggalo Gathering Inc, has no intention of turning its back on these financial obligations and is in the process of preparing a plan to take care of all vendors. We thank all of our vendors for their understanding."
