Miley Cyrus Holds Onto #1 on Billboard Hot 100
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 09.25.2013

Miley Cyrus refuses to relinquish the throne of the Billboard Hot 100. Billboard reports that "Wrecking Ball" held off Katy Perry's "Roar" to spend a second week at the top spot thanks to building strength in airplay. "Roar" held on for a second week at #2 but closed the distance to "Wrecking Ball" and could take #1 next week.

Coming in at #3 for a third week was Lorde's "Royals," while Avicii's "Wake Me Up!" was up a spot to #4. Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" featuring T.I. and Pharrell was down a spot to #5 while Jay-Z's "Holy Grail" featuring Justin Timberlake was steady at #6. Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home" featuring Majid Jordan was up a spot to #7.

The final three spots were taken by Lady Gaga's "Applause," down a spot to #8; Lana Del Rey & Cedric Gervais' "Summertime Sadness," up one to #9 Capital Cities' "Safe and Sound," which was up two to #10.
