She claims they owe money for his posthumous albumÖ
TMZ reports that Tupac Shakur's mother is suing over unpaid royalties stemming from the late rapper's posthumous album.
Afeni Shakur, the co-administrator of Tupca's estate, has filed a lawsuit against a company called Entertainment One, claiming it breached a contract to pay Tupac's estate royalties on Beginnings: The Lost Tapes. The album was released in June 2007.
The suit claims that E1 purchased the rights to Tupac's music (previously owned by Death Row Records) in July. Death Row went bankrupt in 2006. Afeni Shakur says that E1 now owes Tupac's estate $1.1 million. She also wants the company to hand over the master recordings of all of Tupac's unreleased music.
