The 1972 song goes up 3,000%...
The executives at AMC aren't the only people benefitting from the series finale of Breaking Bad. Billboard reports that Badfinger's "Baby Blue," the song that played over the end of the episode "Felina," was up 3,000% in sales following the episode and sold almost 5,000 downloads just last night. The song has never done more than 1,000 downloads in a single week since digital sales began counting.
The 1972 song was a top 20 hit for the band and topped out at #14 on April 29th, 1972 and was released on the Beatles' Apple record label. The song could return to the Billboard charts with the bump, most likely on the the Rock Digital Songs chart.
