[VIDEO] Miley Cyrus Told Britney Spears MTV Wouldn't Let Her Go Topless For VMA Performance
Posted by Joseph Lee on 10.03.2013

Zap2It reports that during her documentary The Movement (which aired last night on MTV), Miley Cyrus told Britney Spears that MTV wouldn't let her go topless for her MTV VMA performance with Robin Thicke. The show featured Spears coming to the recording studio to talk with Cyrus. At this point, Cyrus hadn't performed at the show yet.

Spears said: "The VMAs are always, like, the best. It's so far. Working with Madonna -- it's like, it's Madonna. It's crazy."

Cyrus added: "For me, that's why I got into music. I want to give people that again. Videos that are out of control, that people can't believe. And performances that you can't believe. Everyone takes the VMAs so serious and I just wanna come out and, like, shoot a hotdog gun."

Spears asked: "You're not gonna be topless on stage?"

Cyrus replied: "I tried. I tried to go there, but I don't think MTV's gonna allow it. I'm like, 'What about nude latex?' They're like, 'Mmm, I don't know.'"

Cyrus finally spoke about making an impact on pop culture. She said: "Everything's about -- what's going to be the biggest moment in pop culture? ... Britney's got so many of those moments that people won't ever forget. It's about living and being in that moment and that's really what 'We Can't Stop' represents."

The show re-airs on MTV tonight at 9 PM ET/PT, among other times.
