She avoided home confinement for it...
Lauryn Hill got a break in her post-jail release. As we previously reported the singer was released from Jail over the weekend and had three months of home detention to finish out. Now, TMZ reports that Hill has received permission to go on tour in November and December, which would have otherwise violated her confinement.
The site reports that Hill asked for a pass from the judge in her case so she could go on tour from November 15th through December 31st and that the judge granted the request. Hill can now start committing to specific venues for concerts, though all details including dates, cities and hotels must be approved by her probation officer.
She will have to return home on New Year's Day to complete her her home detention sentence.
