He wants the game recalled...
TMZ reports that rapper Daz Dillinger has sent a cease and desist letter to Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive Software after he claims they used his music in Grand Theft Auto V without paying him. Dillinger and his attorney said his songs "C-Walk" and "Nothin' But the Cavi Hit" are used in the game. This happened after he turned down the company's "offensively low offer of $4,271.00 for both songs."
Dillinger wants them to either give him a better offer or recall and destroy all unsold copies of the game. Over fifteen million copies of the game have already been sold, and there are probably just as many or more in stores.
He said the case is about "respecting an artist's work. Rockstar didn't do that here and I can't let them get away with it."
Dillinger and his attorneys at Kushner Carlson have given Take-Two and Rockstar two weeks to respond.
