In new legal documents...
TMZ reports that Pharrell Williams has filed new legal documents in his trademark battle with Will.I.Am in which he says that Will is not on his level.
Will.I.Am filed a lawsuit against Pharrell over his "I Am Other" Youtube channel, specifically over the "I Am" part. He said users may get confused over the name because he and Pharrell have both "achieved great distinction" in hop hop with big songs and working with the top names in the industry.
Pharrell says that Will.I.Am has not hit the same level he is at and there would not be any confusion over the Youtube channel. He also said that Will.I.Am's record for copyright infringement speaks for itself, as he's been a defendant in almost a dozen lawsuits (including song theft).
Pharrell wants the suit thrown out so he can use the phrase without any problems. He also wants Will.I.Am to pay his legal fees.
