Lorde Still #1 On Billboard Hot 100
Posted by Joseph Lee on 10.23.2013

Lorde's "Royals" is still #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the fourth week in a row, making her the longest-reigning woman at #1 this year. She beats Pink's "Just Give Me A Reason" (ft Nate Ruess), which had three weeks on top in April and May. Of all acts, Robin Thicke (ft. T.I. and Pharrell) is still #1 with "Blurred Lines", which had 12 weeks on top from June to September. No song by a female has led as long as Lorde since Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" did it for nine weeks last year.

Coming in at #2 and #3 are Katy Perry's "Roar" and Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball", making the top three dominated by women this week. Avicii's "Wake Me Up!" is #4 and Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home" closes out the top five.

The bottom half of the top ten features Ylvis' "the Fox" at #6, Eminem's "Rap God" at #7, Jay Z's "Holy Grail", Lady Gaga's "Applause" (her 21st week in the top ten, tying Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop" for most weeks in the top ten this year) and finally the previously mentioned "Blurred Lines" at #10.
