He says he was screwed out of profits...
Quincy Jones has filed a lawsuit against and Michael Jackson Productions over profits from his cut of Jackson's music. TMZ reports that Jones filed suit against the companies alleging that he owns parts of "Off the Wall," "Thriller" and "Bad" because he produced them. Jones claims that Sony and Jackson Productions edited and remixed the originals for This Is It movie, the Jackson Cirque du Soleil show and the 25th Anniversary of Bad so they could deny him royalties.
Jones also claims that the companies diverted millions of dollars away from him in the process and is suing for a minimum of $10 million.
Michael Jackson Estate lawyer Howard Weitzmansaid, "The Estate of Michael Jackson was saddened to learn that Quincy Jones has filed a lawsuit seeking money from Michael's Estate. To the best of our knowledge, Mr. Jones has been appropriately compensated over approximately 35 years for his work with Michael."
