They've come up empty so far...
Police are reportedly looking for a security video that would reveal whether Chris Brown committed assault. As you know, Brown was charged with misdemeanor assult after an incident on Sunday when Brown and his bodyguard allegedly punched a man who tried to photobomb a pic he was taking with two female fans. Brown claims that the bodyguard did all the work and that the victim and a friend were trying to force their way onto his tour bus.
TMZ reports that Washington, D.C. police are trying to find video footage and have contacted businesses near the location of the incident but have found nothing. While the nearby W Hotel has cameras, they were not pointed in that direction and a neighboring restaurant also came up empty.
There are reportedly cameras at the U.S. Dept. of Treasury which was across the street which likely captured the incident; that footage would be in the hands of the secret service. No word on whether the video exists though, or whether they would share it with local police in a misdemeanor case.
