Billboard reports Lou Reed has left his estate to his wife Laurie Anderson and his other relatives. Reed's will was filed on Monday in a New York City court. Reed died on October 27 from a liver transplant at the age of 71. He had no children.
His Manhattan penthouse, his East Hampton, New York home and most of his estate went to Anderson. The two were married in 2008. His sister gets a quarter of the estate and a $500,000 bequest to care for their mother. His business manager and accountant are assigned to handle licensing and copyrights for his music.
