Morrissey To Release Cover of Lou Reed Classic
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 11.11.2013

Morrissey is set to release a cover of one of Lou Reed's most well-known songs. NME reports that the singer will release the live cover of Reed's "Satellite Of Love" on December 2nd as a tribute to the recently-passed singer and to mark the release of the audiobook version of the former Smiths member's Autobiography.

The live version was recorded during a gig in Las Vegas on November 25, 2011. Reed passed away late last month at the age of seventy-one and Morrissey wrote at the time, "He has been there all of my life. He will always be pressed to my heart. Thank God for those, like Lou, who move within their own laws, otherwise imagine how dull the world would be."

The song was one of Reed's most iconic tracks and appeared on his 1972 LP Transformer.
