Pitbull and Ke$ha Take Over #1 On Billboard Digital Songs Chart

Billboard reports that Pitbull and Ke$ha's song "Timber" has climbed up to #1 on the Digital Songs Chart for the first time with 237,000 downloads. It was #4 last week. It is the first #1 on the chart for Pitbull, who previously peaked at #2 with three different songs: "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)", Jennifer Lopez's "On The Floor" and "Give Me Everything". This is Ke$ha's third #1 and first since 2010's "We R Who We R" debuted on top. The song was helped from a performance on the American Music Awards, as were others this week.

1. Pitbull (ft. Ke$ha) - "Timber" (237,000)
2. Eminem (ft. Rihanna) - "The Monster" (231,000)
3. A Great Big World (ft. Christina Aguilera) - "Say Something" (197,000)
4. OneRepublic - "Counting Stars" (175,000)
5. Lorde - "Royals" (144,000)
6. Imagine Dragons - "Demons" (124,000)
7. One Direction - "Story of My Life" (118,000)
8. Passenger - "Let Her Go" (115,000)
9. Miley Cyrus - "Wrecking Ball" (99,000)
10. Katy Perry - "Roar" (99,000)

Digital track sales totaled 20.86 million downloads, up 7% compared to last week (19.52 million) and down 6% compared to last week (22.15 million). Year to date track sales are at 1.16 billion, down 4% compared to the same total at this point last year (1.21 billion).
