He died during a shooting...
The Game continues his work of trying to help out families affected by tragedy (particularly gang violence). As you may recall, the rapper paid for the funeral of a six year old back in September who was shot, and teamed with Drake to help out with the funerals of a family who died in a house fire in Ohio the same month. Now, TMZ reports that he is raising money for the funeral of a seven year-old boy killed in a Los Angeles shooting and has received aid from gang members in the city.
Game told the site that he heard about the death of Talib Pecantte this morning. Pecantte was killed in a shooting which is believed to have been gang-related, and Game he wanted to do something for the victim's family particularly as it happened so close to Christmas. He says that he has raised $7,000 so far for funeral expenses and that a lot of that money comes from top-ranking Los Angeles gang members from diverse and feuding groups like the Crips, Bloods, and Latin gangs.
Game noted he has no set goal in mind, and will just keep raising as much money as he can. He said that he is also speaking to rival gang leaders about a cease-fire, at least during the holidays.
