United States Getting Huge 13-Album Beatles Box Set In Honor Of 50th Anniversary of Beatlemania
Posted by Joseph Lee on 12.12.2013

Billboard reports that just in time for the 50th anniversary of "Beatlemania", Capitol Records will release all thirteen of the Beatles' American albums in a set called The US Albums. It arrives on January 21 in North America and features the bands thirteen American albums, which had different track lists, song mixes, titles and art than the UK versions. Five of them have never been available on Cd before. you can pre-order the album here.

The collection mostly includes albums from 1964 and 1966, when the band most often released different albums in the US and the UK. The only exception is 1970's Hey Jude. The set comes with carefully replicated album art (including the inner sleeves) and a 64-page booklet with photos and original LP artwork. All titles are in mono and stereo with the exception of The Beatles' Story and Hey Jude, which are stereo only. For a limited time, the albums will be available individually, with the exception being the audio commentary album The Beatles' Story.

Weeks after the release will be the 50th anniversary of the Beatles arrival in America on February 7, 1964, when they arrived at New York's John F. Kennedy Airport. Two nights later, they had their iconic 5-song performance on the Ed Sullivan Show. On February 11, they played their first US concert at the Washington Coliseum in Washington, DC.
