There were over 300 complains...
Despite a host of complaints, Lady Gaga's recent The X Factor UK performance has been determined to have not broken any UK broadcasting rules. UK watchdog group Ofcom has ruled (per the Guardian) that Gaga's performance, which led to 317 complaints being made over her flesh coloured underwear, did not violate any rules and that a full investigation did not need to be made.
The performance was defended by ITV at the time, with a spokesperson saying, "We do not believe Lady Gaga's performance was inappropriate for the family audience of the X Factor Results show, which has an established tradition of featuring performances from the biggest music stars. Lady Gaga is well known for her highly individual performance style."
