Winner of The Voice Season Five Revealed
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 12.17.2013

Team Adam picked up their second win in five years on The Voice. Adam Levine's Tessanne Chin was revealed as the winner of the show's fifth season during the results finale tonight, beating Christina Aguilera's teenage powerhouse Jacquie Lee and Levine's journeyman Will Champlain. The win marks Levine's first win since the first season; Blake Shelton had a three-season losing streak snapped.

Chin, a Jamaican singer who brought reggae elements to several of her performances on the show, won the vote on Tuesday after a performance finale on Monday in which she took on Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" and P!nk's "Try," along with a duet of the Beatles' "Let It Be" with Levine. Lee came in second and Champlin finished third.

The finale included a duet between Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera along with performances from OneRepublic, Celine Dion and the other contestants from season. The sixth season of the The Voice, which will see Shakira and Usher replace CeeLo Green and Aguilera again, will premiere on February 24th and 25th.
