People reports that Adele has reacted to her latest honor, an MBE medal, which she was presented with yesterday. The medal is an honor given for "exemplary British subjects" and was presented to her by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace. She was introduced as Miss Adele Adkins and given the award for "services to music" before Charles shook her hand.
MBE stands for Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. Others awarded yesterday were PJ Harvey, broadcaster Aled Jones and author Joanne Harris. Charles gave the awards out instead of Queen Elizabeth, who was going to her country home of Sandringham for Christmas and New Year's.
Adele said: "It was an honor to be recognized and a very proud moment to be awarded alongside such wonderful and inspirational people. Very posh indeed."
