Justin Bieber’s Paternal Grandparents Not Invited to Hollywood Premiere of Believe Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 12.21.2013
Bieber appears to be estranged from them now…
Radar Online reports that Justin Bieber's paternal grandparents, George and Kathy Bieber, were "banned" from attending the Hollywood premiere of Bieber's movie Believe this week. They also believe their grandson has abandoned them and think "he doesn't care" about them. Bieber's maternal grandparents, Bruce and Diane Dale did attend the premiere with their grandson.
George Bieber was contacted at his Mitchell, Ontario home about the issue and said he would've liked to have gone, but said, "I don't really want to talk about it.
According to the report, the estrangement between Justin and George likely was a result of criticizing Justin in an article published by The New York Daily News. George Bieber stated: "It's like we now live on different planets. He never calls us, and now I sometimes think he doesn't care. It does make me sad, as right now our lives are pretty desperate. I can't work due to illness, so there is barely any money coming into the house. His grandma has a bad back, too, but works like a dog hauling huge bags of paint powder 40 hours a week."
George added on Bieber's maternal grandparents, "For them, nothing seems to be too much trouble, and he buys them new houses, cars, luxury holidays, anything they want — but for us, nothing." He continued, "[Justin] has just got too big for his britches. He will always be my grandson, and I am and always will be so proud of him. It's just sad that he is not a bigger part of our life."
